While Potts Point might not be the most famous precinct of Sydney, the Funk House is quite an interesting and good place to stay. The staff usually is pretty friendly and helpful. So if you don’t mind hanging out at Potts Point – what really shouldn’t matter, take the funk house into consideration! [ Read More ]
Eva’s was kind of an insider tipp for years. Right now many backpackers coming to Sydney and Kings Cross know it already. Eva is said to be quite cheap and therefore offers still a decent service. So if you want to rest in the heart of party district Kings Cross Eva’s Backpackers might be a good choice for you (even though their homepage still sucks). bigger map

The Railway Square Hostel in Sydney is one of the best YHA hostels I stayed in. Very clean, very basic in a nice and interesting atmosphere. Located pretty close to the Sydney Central Station and therefore easy to reach with good public transport around. Still one of the most famous hostels for backpackers from abroad. Nice small rooms, affordable. bigger map
